There’s no doubt that Northern Colorado is an exceptional place to live within Colorado. The facts just keep rolling in to make Fort Collins seem better than ever!

In 2016 the Fort Collins-Loveland metro area is projected to outperform most other regions in the state!

(United State Conference of Mayors)

The United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) is the official non-partisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There are 1,407 such cities in the country today. Each city is represented in the Conference by its chief elected official, the mayor.

The most recent report was released on January 20th and shed light on metro economies regarding employment and product growth. Specifically for Fort Collins, both employment and production growth are expected in 2016. More specifically, we were ranked 13th out of 381 metro ares for projected gains in product and service output and 47th for job growth.

Fort Collins is projected to add jobs at a rate of 2.4% this year, even though that is lower than previous years, and the dollar value of all goods and services produced in Fort Collins is expected to increase from $15.3 billion (2015) to $16.2 billion (2016).

That’s a lot of numbers to sort out in your head, but basically the bottom line is that job growth and GMP growth are higher in Fort Collins than any other area in Colorado, according to the report. The other metro areas include Boulder, Greeley, Colorado Springs, Denver, Grand Junction and Pueblo. Way to go Fort Collins!
