Help Fort Collins Lose-A-Watt to Win a Prize!

Help Fort Collins win the $5,000,000,000 prize!

The City of Fort Collins is competing with cities across the country for a $5M energy efficiency prize hosted by Georgetown University. The goal of the Lose-A-Watt event is to double the energy savings through increased awareness and action in the residential, municipal and K-12 sectors.

The Georgetown University Energy Prize gives communities access to financial opportunities, educational and technical resources to help create far-reaching benefits that will last well into the future.

There are so many ways for Fort Collins residents to join in the Lose-A-Watt cause:

  • Attend various seminars and presentations regarding energy conservation
  • Change your daily actions (homeowners AND renters can get rebates from things like limiting energy consumption and changing out light bulbs!)
  • Join the Energy Leaders Program to lead your neighbors and friend in energy-saving efforts
  • Download the Lose-A-Watt App to make energy savings and sustainability simple and fun
  • Volunteer for the Porchlight Campaign: a door to door effort to reduce our community’s environmental impact through simple actions
