Hello and Happy Monday!

We hope you were able to enjoy New West Fest this past weekend in Old Town!  The Peach Festival is this coming Saturday as well as the USA Pro Challenge which starts today in Aspen and will pass through Fort Collins on Saturday. School starts tomorrow for most of Poudre School District – hard to believe this summer is already coming to an end!

On the real estate front, things were a bit quiet but buyers continue to look for homes and the market under $300K is very active. We placed 2907 Sagebrush under contract and are excited about 2 open houses coming up this Sunday, August 25. 1538 Whedbee will be hosted open from 11-1 p.m. and 515 W Mountain will be hosted open from 1:30-3:30 p.m.  Please stop by and take a look if you haven’t already been through these great homes!

It’s a great time to live and work in Downtown Fort Collins! The vibrancy of our downtown district definitely reflects in the commercial real estate market too. A dramatic change from just two years ago, retail vacancy is now at an all time low. The streets are lined with creative boutiques, spas and salons, interesting galleries and quality restaurants.   Two weeks ago, Downtown Fort Collins welcomed the latest restaurant creation from Breckenridge -Wynkoop Brewery. The Mainline joined our urban neighborhood by taking up residence in the old Beach House building on College Avenue. Walk in and you won’t recognize the place! It’s been completely renovated to recapture the historic character of this remarkable old building built in the late 1800’s and combines striking modern finishes with a charming touch of whimsy. Be sure to go upstairs and visit “the Treehouse” where the metal work is true to the name, the bar top is by far the most creative in Fort Collins all leading to the best roof top patio downtown.
