For the month of May, we interviewed a local heating and cooling company: Red Line! We have had several of our clients use them in the recent months, and they have been awesome! Make sure to check out their website: http://redlineheatingandair.com and feel free to call them, 970-663-6575!

1. What year did you start?
RED LINE started in 1995

2. What services do you provide?
We install, service, and maintain water heaters and forced air heating and cooling systems of all types.

3. Pricing for your services?
A full furnace or AC tune-up is $79.00, or combine the two for a $10.00 discount. We also offer 5 different maintenance plans and our quotes are always free.

4. What regional areas do you offer your services?
We serve the entire Front Range area.

5. Are you licensed/insured?
Absolutely!

6. What do you think agents and potential buyers need to look for when going through a home?
When it comes to mechanical systems, its all about air flow! Furnaces and AC’s both require clean, easy air flow. This comes down to many things- cleanliness, adequate supply and returns in the duct work, and proof of maintenance is always good. Always investigate mysterious water marks and check for smoke and CO detectors’. We know that some of these things are a little tough to for people with no HVAC experience to spot! We always recommend a full check up and safety inspection from a company you trust.

7. Strangest/oddest heating and/or air condition issue you have come across?
During last years’ flooding we came across quite a few unusual problems. Perhaps the strangest was a snake that had climbed up inside of a furnace. At the time, we had no idea what type, how big or even if he was alive. After a debate of either trying to go in and rescue the little guy or burning the entire house down, we (of course!) went in for the rescue. But, sadly, it was too late for ‘Little Red’. Our techs won’t soon forget him though.

8. Any advice for the local homeowner for future re-sale?
Maintain what you have! Manufactures recommend changing filters once a month! Have furnaces checked in the fall or winter, and AC in the spring or summer. The same goes for water heaters, humidifiers and Electronic Air Cleaners. It’s easy to ignore these essential parts of your home until something goes wrong. Maintenance can save you from the hassle and an unexpected repair bill.
