Whether you’re looking for family-friendly frights or a more mature macabre, Northern Colorado is filled with spooky scares for ghouls and boys of every age.

HAUNTED HOUSES
MorbidNights Colorado’s “Fear of all Fears” haunted house: 7 to 11:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 31, University Center, 807 17th Ave., Greeley. Tickets are $15 Get your scream on at this haunted house filled with ghastly ghouls and sinister spooks. Creepy Walk in the Woods: 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31; 1750 Savage Road, Loveland. Take a terrifying stroll through the Savage Woods, just west of Devil’s Backbone, where you never know what might jump out at you from the nearest tree. FAMILY FUN

Something From the Farm: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 31, Something From the Farm, 8020 S. Timberline Road, Fort Collins. After moving back to its home farm location and breaking away from its Fear @ the Farm haunted events, Something From the Farm returns to more of a family-focused event featuring pumpkin patches, hay rides and a 1-acre corn maze. Fritzler Corn Maze: 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays, noon to 6 p.m. Sundays (no haunted corn maze Sundays) and (beginning Oct. 15) 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 1, Fritzler Farm, 20861 County Road 33, LaSalle. Take a stroll through a variety of activities, including a spooky or not so spooky trip through the corn maze, pumpkin patches, pumpkin cannons, zombie paintball and an interactive ghost haunt. Jack Lantern’s Corn Maze: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, from Friday, Oct. 3, to Nov. 1, 2318 S. Larimer County Road 5, Fort Collins. A 15-acre corn maze for all ages offering daytime activities such as scavenger hunts, pedal-car races, inflatable bounce houses, and access to a pumpkin patch and a petting zoo. At dusk, it turns into a haunted corn maze. Day-time tickets are free for toddlers 3 and younger, $8 for children 4 to 11 years old and $10 for people 12 and older. Harvest Farm Fall Festival: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 7 p.m. Sundays, running from Friday, Oct. 3, through Oct. 26, Harvest Farm, Wellington. Hosted by the Denver Rescue Mission/Fort Collins Rescue Mission, this family-friendly festival features a variety of events including a corn maze, pumpkin patch, pumpkin smash, corn cannons and a petting zoo. Tiny Tot Halloween Parade: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 31, Old Town Square, Fort Collins. The tiniest tots will trick or treat through the businesses of downtown Fort Collins before wrapping up the day with hot chocolate, cookies, music and dancing at the “Monster Mash” party. Trick or Treating: 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 31, Fort Collins Marketplace, located at 3601 S. College Ave., Fort Collins. CSU Triathlon Halloween 5K: 9 a.m. Nov 1st, CSU Oval. 3.1 mile run. Come support the CSU Triathlon Team and Athletes in Tandem with a fun, festive Halloween 5k. Run in your most creative costume for a chance to win the costume contest. Funds from this race will help get the team to USAT Collegiate Nationals in April. This is a pet friendly event. Houska Give a Pint, Get a Pint Blood Drive: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 31, Garth Englund Blood Center, 1025 Pennock Place, Fort Collins. All donors will receive a gift card good for a free pint of beer or a nonalcoholic beverage at CooperSmith’s Pub & Brewery. Donors must be 18 years of age (or 17 and have parent permission) and have a photo ID. New donors must weigh at least 120 pounds; prior donors must weigh 110. HISTORICAL HAUNTS

Fort Collins ghost tours: Offered year-round, these tours through Fort Collins’ haunted history offer the chance to step into some of the city’s most haunted locations, rarely open to the general public. Fort Collins Tours (www.hauntedfortcollins.com) offers a variety of ghost tours, including a family-friendly version and a haunted pub tour. Haunted History After Dark (www.hauntedhistoryafterdark.blogspot.com) takes patrons through Old Town Fort Collins with a historian and ghost-whispering medium who will introduce them to the other side of the city.

Cupcake Cabaret presents Peek-a-BOO!: 9 p.m. Oct. 31, Avogadro’s Number, 605 S. Mason St., Fort Collins. Join the witchy women of Fort Collins burlesque troupe Cupcake Cabaret for their annual Halloween Spooktacular. Join in the fun by entering their costume contest. Fort Collins Brewery’s Halloween Parking Lot Party: 5 to 10 p.m. Oct. 31, Fort Collins Brewery, 1020 E. Lincoln Ave. Enjoy live music by Blue Heron Blues Band, along with a special costume contest. Fall-Back Beer Festival: 12 pm November 1st. The beer festival at the Estes Park Convention Center and Pavilion is a celebration of more than 30 Colorado breweries and the people who make the beer. With 100+ beers being poured by the brewers themselves from 30+ Colorado breweries, festival goers are sure to walk away having learned something new about their favorite beer from the people who created it. CSU Halloween Organ Extravaganza: 7, 9 and 11 p.m. Oct. 31, Organ Recital Hall, University Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington St., Fort Collins. The CSU organ studio and Joel Bacon perform classic (and not-so-classic) works, including the spooktacular Toccata and Fugue in D minor of Bach. Costumes encouraged.
