The Poudre School District has just announced that this fall semester will be 100% remote learning for the first quarter of the school year. This is until October 16th. The district will continue to monitor the health conditions in order to determine when it is safe for students to come back to school.
Originally the district had created a hybrid system for K-12. This put students into two groups. One group would attend school Monday Wednesday and the other would attend Tuesday Thursday. This was created in an effort to try an minimize contact between large group of students. However, this system has been moved aside in favor of remote learning.
School will start on August 24th. This delayed start date will give the teachers time to create or modify their curriculum to fit an online platform. Many questions are still up in the air but Poudre School District has put student and teacher health as their number one priority with 100% remote learning.
