June’s Featured Business of the Month is the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery.
This museum opened in November 2012 and is the outcome of two previous museums combining into one entity. The old Discovery Science Center and Fort Collins History Museum decided to join forces in 2008 to create an even bigger and better museum.
The half non-profit half City owned museum is a great place to spend time with the family, or by yourself. There is so much to see and do that often one visit just doesn’t suffice. Endless amounts of discovery can be experienced in the music zone, FC150 exhibit, animal exhibit, early childhood area, innovation labs and many more.
Events and summer camps are also offered at the museum daily (or weekly). They do everything from private events to yoga, live animal activities, day camps and so much more!
FCMoD also hosts a Digital Dome Theater. This theater is different than most you have probably sat through as the images come from multiple progectors and make up one solid image 360 degrees around you. Submerse yourself with Sea Monsters or take off into space with Dynamic Earth.

Memberships
Memberships are available for purchase and allow for unlimited admission for the individuals included in the membership for one year! They range from $25 to $120 (some memberships are available at a higher price and include donations). Check out the membership levels here.
