Weekend Update

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the 14 year old boy and his uncle that drowned in the Poudre River this past weekend. Very sad news. Heavy rains drenched us but the weather is supposed to improve this week and today is hopefully an indication of nicer weather to come.

It was a busy Memorial Day weekend with many people visiting Fort Collins for the holiday and also high school graduations. CSU graduation was the weekend prior so quite a few of the students have left for the summer. Buyers are still out in droves searching for the perfect property including parents searching for their students attending CSU in the fall – we have a specific need for a family with something close to campus under $300K with 3 or 4 bedrooms. Let our team know if you have any interest in selling or know of anything coming up. It continues to be a good time to put your home on the market and I anticipate this trend will continue through the summer and into fall. Rates are fluctuating slightly but still remain under 5% for a 30 year conventional loan.

We were very thankful and happy to close on 519 W Mountain Avenue on Friday at $580,900. Our clients are excited to start the fix up on this super cool 116 year old home within walking distance to downtown and it will be interesting to watch the transformation. We close this week with some folks from Alaska that cannot wait to get to Fort Collins – we have the best clients!! We have several upcoming listings to keep in mind; 805 Colorado Street which priced at $319,000, 1208 Newsom at $349K and 2106 Romney at $249,900 and will list June 9th. Let us know if you would like additional information or to get a sneak peak at any of these great properties and we will make arrangements to get you in! We are looking forward to a wonderful summer. Thank you!
