School’s Out, Summer’s In!


Looking for ideas for your kids this summer can be hectic and overwhelming, but look no further…we have provided you with all the resources and information you will need to have a successful, active and healthy summer in our beautiful city. Fort Collins has so much to offer and seeing it all is nearly impossible, but here’s a good start:

1. Sign the kiddos up for a great, educational and fun summer camp at the Gardens on Spring Creek. The camps are full of garden–centric games, nature art, music, and cooking.

2. Visit the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery. Check out their website for summer programs and daily activities for every visit!

3. Enjoy the slides, playground and other ammenities at the City Park Pool 7 days/week!

4. Head to Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC) for some open swim, ice-skating, hockey, curling and much more!

5. Play the farm game at Lee Martinez Park! Admission is just $2!

6. Visit the Northside Aztlan Community Center for Youth Nights on Thursdays from 3 to 9 pm for FREE arena football, dodgeball, indoor soccer, ping pong tournaments, Madden tournaments, teen weights, field trips, dance, fitness, food, prizes & more!

7. Take a class at the Pottery Studio

8. Rollerblade, bike or play in the street at Open Streets on June 7th.

9. Enjoy the festivities at Taste of Fort Collins June 12-14th.

10. Lace up your shoes and participate in the Father’s Day 5K on June 21st.

11. Watch the fireworks in amazement at City Park for the 4th of July Celebration.

12. Shop the deeply discounted toys, clothes, accessories, household essentials and much more during the Downtown Summer Sales July 16-19th.

13. Don’t miss the legendary New West Fest August 14th-15th! Enjoy the community music festival featuring live music, food and retail vendors, kids world area, carnival, and more.
