Fort Collins St. Patrick’s Day Events!

Are you feeling lucky?

Head to Old Town, Fort Collins this Saturday for Lucky Joe’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Party! The parade & party are FREE to the public and open to all! The parade will start at 10 AM and showcase over 80 floats and Irish themed entries. The parade route starts North on Walnut, turns south on College Ave and travels in the south bound lanes until making a left on Magnolia. The last stretch of the parade will be north along Remington Ave. until it connects with Mountain Ave again and ends. There will be live music, food, beverages, and entertainment for all ages.Once you enjoy the parade, join us at Linden & Walnut until 5 PM for the Old Town Irish Party.

If you’re feeling extra lucky this Saturday, register for the 17th Annual Sharin’ O’ the Green 5k Run/Walk
The race begins at 8:30 AM in Library Park, 200 Mathews St. The course is fast, flat, USTAF certified, a BolderBoulder qualifying course, and chip timed. Wear your finest green to show off your Irish pride and support a great cause! After the race stay downtown and enjoy the parade and a beer from Odell Brewing Company at the beer garden on Linden Street. Registration is $30 for teams (4 or more participants) or $35 for individuals.

If a parade and 5K race still aren’t enough to make you feel lucky, head to Old Town Square at 7 PM for the Balloon Glow! This is also a FREE EVENT! Take the whole family down to Linden and Walnut Streets and be part of the thrill of standing next to brightly lit hot air balloons against the night sky and have photos taken by friends and family! Pilots Buzz Wills and Michael Glen, the world’s first paraplegic hot air balloon pilot, will be on site for you to learn about and interact with the sport of hot air ballooning. Kids 12 and under can enter the coloring contest at the event and win downtown gift cards.
